Bag Security - Wednesday & Saturday Nights
The
“friendliest show on the
numismatic circuit” invites its dealers and Early Birds to arrive
early for dealer registration at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 2nd.
A Security Room will open at 3:00 p.m. for dealers to store their bags over night and be ready for the dealer set-up on Thursday starting at 8:00 a.m. The room is next to the Show Offices in Hall "E" of the George R. Brown Convention Center, right down the escalator from the sky bridge to the Hilton Hotel.
That way, you can secure your bags for the night and check out the Heritage Auction lots in Hall "E", then visit friends, enjoy a nice meal at one of the local up-scale restaurants, take in a basketball or hockey game at the adjacent Toyota Center, or a Broadway show at the Hobby Center without the hassle of carrying your bags with you.
For those dealers whose flights aren't until Sunday, the Security Room will be open from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday (December 5th) and from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Sunday (December 6th.)
The cost for the security room, one in/one out, is $20.00.

Check at the Loading Dock
In response to dealer
concerns about
the number of robberies at other major numismatic shows, the Money Show
of the
Southwest will check, visually and electronically, for magnetic GPS
devices on
every dealer vehicle that leaves the show loading dock on Saturday
afternoon. These devices are used by
criminals to track
unsuspecting dealers and rob them, sometimes hundreds of miles from a
show
venue. Our loading dock is gated and
guarded. It is also just around the corner
from the Houston Police Department’s Special Ops Division
headquarters and in
one of the safest areas in the city.
However, checking the cars is intended to provide that extra
degree of
comfort for our dealers. Although it
will cost approximately $1,000.00, this service is provided free of
charge by your
friends at
