Things to
See & Do at This Year’s Show
• Do some holiday
shopping! The variety of jewelry, mint sets, proof sets, birth coins,
numismatic books or supplies can’t be matched. Gift choices
range from stocking stuffers to the really big gift!
• Ask a dealer what
your
coin
or old bill is worth at no cost to you!
• Turn your rings,
necklaces, and other gold, silver, and platinum jewelry into cash! Over
200 competing dealers assure the best price.
• Visit the
competitive
exhibits and vote for your favorite. There are always
interesting stories about our money.
• Ever attended a
numismatic auction? We will have a major auction conducted by the
world’s largest numismatic auctioneer, Heritage Auction
Galleries, with sessions held Thursday evening thru Saturday morning.
Go to www.HA.com
or to the auction lot viewing area in Hall “E” to check
out the coins and currency being offered.
• Check out the
promotional
exhibits: for history buffs, the first and only coin minted in what
became Republic of Texas, and a spectacular collection of Silver
Dollars. Wow!!
• Join in the FUN of
the
youth programs in our “Kids Corner.” The “Treasure
Chest Grab” and the “Put A Penny In A Slot” will
put money in your pocket!
• The educational
presentations on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday cover many different
and interesting subjects. Thursday
at the Money Show features presentations on rare coins and bullion as
investment vehicles.
• If you’re a
Boy
Scout or Girl Scout (Senior, Junior or Cadette) we can really help
you quickly earn your collecting merit badge or Fun With Money patch
in one day, if you come prepared. The boys’ clinic is in the
morning and the girls’ is in the afternoon.
• Enjoy the many
numismatic
treasures on display in our dealer’s cases. You’ll see
money from most of the countries in the world, ancient money from
Roman, Greece and other civilizations, early U. S. money, and money
right up to today. You’ll also see books and literature on
all subjects and supplies for the collector. For the ladies,
you’ll
find the jewelry hard to resist! Try out a necklace with an ancient
silver or gold coin minted in about 400 BC and mounted in a smart
bezel. It’s a conversation piece at the same time as an
attractive piece of jewelry. You’ll love it!
• Talk with the
representatives of the American Numismatic Association and find out
what benefits membership will provide or what’s new with the
world’s largest of all numismatic organizations.
